The Verifone E355 is a fully-portable solution with a rugged yet ergonomic and modern design, which is both spill and tamper resistant. It is equipped with a rapid processor, large standard memory, and a powerful, high-capacity battery which allows for hours of uninterrupted use. An integrated 2D barcode scanner is located at the top of the device, beside a magnetic stripe reader. At the bottom of the device, beside the docking connector is the smart card reader. Setting up Your Verifone E355
Setting up the Verifone E355 is a simple process. First install the MSAM card by removing the screw from the battery cover and sliding the cover outwards. Remove the battery, then insert the MSAM card in so the gold contacts face upwards. Replace the battery and cover before charging.The battery must be charged for eight hours before initial use, so connect the wall-mount charger to the device via the Micro-USB inlet. While charging, the LED indicator will blink orange at a 1HZ rate. For reference: The LED will flash red when the battery is low, and green while in sleep mode.
